ABC Saturday: B is for Books

Eragon (Inheritance, #1)
A good book.
B is for books.  Of course, what do you expect?  Haven’t you noticed that most of her posts are about, ah, books?

Annie likes books.  Just a little.  Okay, a lot.  She loves being able to escape into another world, travel with exciting new people, and experiencing it all from the comfort of her bed.

She’s read amazing books.  She’s read horrible books.  She’s read books that were just downright weird.  Mostly, she prefers fantasy.  Epic fantasy.  Sci-fi is also awesome, as is historical fiction.  Steampunk is mind-twistingly amazing.

Thirteen Days to Midnight
Another good book.
Annie has waaaaaaaaaaay too many favorite books to name here.  If you want some sort of list, go either here or here.  She doesn't like fluff books--she likes books that make her think.  She also likes books with lots of action, very little romance, and dragons.  Because, hey, who doesn't love dragons?  Her favorite kind of endings are the ones that make her sit there for half an hour after reading, in shock and wondering what on earth just happened because the ending was so spectacularly, mind-numbingly epic.

The Book Thief
And another.
The one thing Annie's never done, though, is cry during a book.  She's just not that kind of person.  (But she did get pretty close during The Riddle, Sunrise, and Paradise Red.)  It doesn't count that her eyes were watering during The Titan's Curse.  That was only because she was sitting in an otherwise silent study hall, during the dam scene, and she was trying so hard not to laugh out loud.
Annie also likes the library.  She’s so glad it’s all free, because she tends to go in for one book and come out with five.  They just magically multiply…  She is also hoping to sit on that library shelf someday.
And there's photo proof.  The book is Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports, by the way.
